V. TRAUMA EDUCATION
A. ATTUNEMENT
Nervous system work requires a relational container of love and safety; and yet, when we engage this work, we often do so from a place of desperation, disconnection from the self, and frustration with the body. Self-attunement is the practice by which we create a container of love for the body, learn to identify its survival states, and learn to use healing resources from a place of compassion instead of fear and desperation.
B. SENSORY SKILLS
Cultivate essential sensory skills to help you continue the process of attunement and ultimately manage, and eliminate, symptoms.
C. GRIEF, CORE BELIEFS, AND RESISTANCE
Begin to process grief and anger while staying in your Window of Tolerance, and identify and tend to the wounds and accompanying core beliefs that perpetuate limbic system impairment and create resistance to healing.
D. BOUNDARIES & RELATIONSHIPS
Continue to create environmental safety for your nervous system by exploring a practice of setting boundaries, starting with an embodied foundation of trust between the thinking and survival brain.
VI. LIMBIC SYSTEM RETRAINING EDUCATION
A. VISUALIZATIONS AND DAILY RHYTHMS
Begin exploring the integration of top-down and bottom-up resources, improve and understand your visualizations, create more effective daily rhythms of rewiring, and generate visualization ideas when you’re feeling stuck.
